What is a Programme Led Apprenticeship (PLA)?

A Programme Led Apprenticeship provides you with an employment opportunity for you to gain essential on the job training with an employer who is committed to offering you a wide scope of work to gain your NVQ Level 2 in your chosen trade.

The scheme is aimed at full time Intermediate Construction Award students or those thinking about going on to studying a construction related course full time in college.

On completion of an Intermediate Construction Award at a further education college, ConstructionSkills is matching up the most committed and enthusiastic students with employers willing to take you on through your full apprenticeship qualification.

You will need to have passed or be on your way to passing an Intermediate Construction Aaward, with your key skills level 1 or Maths and English GCSE A to C grade. You will also need to have passed your Health & Safety test at college along with Employment Rights and Responsibilities, which you should do as part of your college course.

And finally you'll need a commitment to hard work and a can-do attitude to get noticed by the best employers.

What are the benefits?
With hundreds of opportunities in a rapidly growing industry, a Programme Led Aapprenticeship gives you the edge to get noticed and get ahead.

Once qualified to NVQ Level 2 standard you can expect a bright future in your chosen career and better employment prospects.

At ConstructionSkills we can give you access to some of the best employers in the industry. This is a way for you to gain a full apprenticeship qualification, while gaining practical skills on-site and earning an apprentice's wage.
