Do you think you have what it takes to win a construction skills competition? Want to prove it?

You are eligible to enter if you are currently training to be an apprentice in any of the trades listed below:

  • Bricklaying
  • Cabinet making
  • Carpentry
  • Joinery
  • Painting and decorating
  • Plastering
  • Dry Walling Systems
  • Stonemasonry
  • Roof slating and tiling
  • Roof sheeting and cladding
  • Single ply roofing or
  • Reinforced bitumen membrane roofing  

So if you are keen to be the cream of the crop then why not get your tutor or employer to enter you into SkillBuild, Britain’s biggest skills competition. The 2010 regional heats kick off in April with 12 taking place up and down the country, culminating in a national final in September.

If you are crowned a winner during SkillBuild 2010 you may also get the opportunity to represent the UK in WorldSkills. WorldSkills is held every two years in different cities across the world. In 2011,  the competition will be held in here in the UK.
