Which company do you work for?

I'm working for KTD Facades and I've been working on outside walls for them - rendering and fixing metal.

Why did you choose this career?

I chose my apprenticeship because the opportunity came up to work with a local firm and I just took it.

What do you do day-to-day?

My day usually consists of working in pairs on window framing. I really enjoy it.

What's the coolest thing you've done so far?

The coolest thing I've done is having worked on great sites around the UK. I feel quite proud to have been part of such big building projects. I haven't worked in construction before. Since being on this apprenticeship I have learnt a lot.

What are the good bits about your job?

What I love about my apprenticeship is that I work in different places and I learn a lot as I work. I love being on a site, working on it and being part of it. I also enjoy working with other people because I make friends at the same time as I'm working with them.

What would you say to anyone who wanted to try this?

I'm proud that I'm an apprentice because I'm getting a qualification and I'm learning new skills.
