Drylining operatives work on a construction site, or in commercial areas, putting in place dry finishes such as plasterboard and wall board. These are fixed up and joined together so they can receive decorative finishes.

What's involved
All types of buildings are worked on, with large areas divided
into rooms using metal stud partitioning systems such as
plasterboard and wall board. These are then fixed up, joined
together and decorated.
Skills required
This is an indoor-only role but, as in most construction work,
you need to be fit. You should also have good numeracy skills as
you'll be calculating surface areas and volumes.
In addition, you'll need to be able to read plans, diagrams and
information sheets and be able to follow instructions.
Qualifications required
There are no formal requirements although it would help to have
GCSE's in English/Welsh and Maths at A*-C (Applications from
students with the Foundation/Intermediate Welsh Baccalaureate are
also welcomed).

After gaining work experience area there are opportunities to
progress into occupational work supervision, management or
