What's involved
Sealant applicators apply a variety of sealants to all types of
building joints; including door frames and windows, facades,
sanitary ware and structural bonding, including glass to
glass to provide air tight and waterproof seals.
They work on a wide range of building projects and have to
travel from job to job. Many different types of sealants are used,
depending on what has been specified by the client.
The Association of Sealant Applicators runs its own
apprenticeship scheme for trainee sealant applicators, which leads
to an NVQ Level 2 qualification.
