South East - SkillBuild 2009

Do you think you have what it takes to win a construction skills competition? Want to prove it?
Are you keen to be the cream of the crop? Then why not get your tutor or employer to enter you into SkillBuild, Britain’s biggest skills competition. The regional heats kick off on 22 April with 12 taking place up and down the country, culminating in a national final in October.
You can enter SkillBuild 2009 if you are an apprentice in any of the trades listed below:
- Bricklaying
- Cabinet making
- Carpentry
- Joinery
- Painting and decorating
- Plastering
- Stonemasonry
- Roof slating and tiling
- Roof sheeting and cladding
- Single ply roofing
- Reinforced bitumen membrane roofing
If you are crowned the winner of SkillBuild 2009 you also get the opportunity to represent the UK in WorldSkillswhich is held every two years in different cities across the world. In 2009 the competition will be held in Calgary, Canada.
