Construction is a fast-moving industry. We'll keep you informed of all the latest from the world of construction.

How will you make your mark in your community?

Imagine the pride you would feel standing next to a structure that you helped to build, knowing the difference it can make to people's lives.

Now imagine how proud your family and friends would be.

This year’s positive image campaign goes live from April 2, not only on your TV screens, but also on phone kiosks, in schools and construction sites in selected regions across the country and online.

Our award winning animated TV advert from last year’s Positive Image campaign has been revamped and now features the voice of TV celebrity, Fearne Cotton. So take a look and keep an eye out for the even wider range of interesting construction careers in the job title skyline at the end. This year as part of the campaign, we will be focusing on the major contribution that people in construction, especially females and those from ethnic backgrounds, make to our skylines everyday –these are achievements that stand the test of time. Check out our adverts on phone kiosks, schools and online!

From apprenticeships to degree course routes, people across all races and sexes in the UK enter the construction industry and help create the amazing buildings that make up the skylines of our towns and cities. The individuals in our case studies, for example Samta Patel, who worked on the London GLA building, all expressed the pride they feel for their achievements and their love for a career that can take an idea from a piece of paper and create something that people can enjoy, live, work or play in.

Put simply, with a career in the construction industry, the success of a project is always visible.

As part of our campaign, we are also inviting all those interested in a future in the construction industry to send to us their design ideas on how they would improve their local communities.
