...to get more women into the construction industry. It's a man's world, but it doesn't have to be.
 
More women are choosing exciting and challenging careers in the construction industry and there’s even a government initiative to get more women into work in non traditional professions.

One young woman Pamela Donald believes so strongly in her career choice that she made a short film for channel five's "your news" to explain about what she does as a BT engineer. Check it out on the Five TV website.

At just 21 Pamela is half way through her apprenticeship and making her mark as a female customer services technician maintaining the UK's telecoms structure. Pamela believes she has a great job and thinks its time that more women broke through the career boundaries and tried their hand at traditionally male jobs.
