Well at NCC there are fantastic opportunities in specialist construction careers.
You can get vital practical experience with help from experienced, trained professionals. Take a closer look at the great opportunities in the specialist construction trades. The National Construction College (NCC) is the direct training division of ConstructionSkills and offers a whole range of specialist courses within their Apprenticeship schemes as well as programmes for graduates/undergraduates.
The National Construction College has five campuses around the country, all with superb specialist training facilities – and all offering high quality training in a wide range of subject areas.
Working with employers, industry and funding bodies, the NCC offers apprenticeships to people aged 16 plus who are looking to start a career in construction. From Civil Engineering to specialist building and roofing occupations, the courses offer a wide range of careers in construction – there is something to suit everyone. Please note that NCC normally requires you to have an employer to support your apprenticeship.
Apprentices will be given classroom and practical training to build the skills and knowledge they need for their chosen profession, and have the opportunity to work as part of a team. The NCC is a great choice for those who want to earn whilst learning.
The NCC also works with partners to deliver courses for graduates and undergraduates. The programmes are developed with employers such as Willmott Dixon, Laing O'Rouke and Kier, with the aim of giving graduates practical experience of working on site to ensure they are not only health and safety aware and competent to do their jobs, but also able to implement their technical training.
The NCC is highly regarded by leading Universities such as Leeds and Imperial College, who use the colleges to deliver part of their Undergraduate degree courses in construction.
