What do you do day-to-day?
I work in the Highways Study Team and my responsibilities are for several motorway improvement schemes, from the initial design to producing reports. I also get to look after the financial side of things too.
Why did you choose this career?
The reason I chose to do civil engineering was the mixture of site and office-based work - and the opportunities to work abroad and travel! Also I relished the prospect of being involved in major projects that would change the landscape.
