What do you do day-to-day?
Currently I'm managing the subcontractors working on a £20 million office development, so it's quite a responsibility.

What are the good bits about your job?
Problem-solving is a great part of the job and if you want to make things run smoothly, then it's absolutely essential.

What's the best thing about a career in construction?
You can drive along in your car and point out to people buildings that you helped to construct!

Why did you choose this career?
I used to work on sites in the summer when I was still at school. I developed a real interest in it - I love the feeling when you finish a building.
