What advice would you give prospective students?
You'll never be poor! The financial rewards are very good - make sure you get involved with as much as you can because that's the way you'll really learn.
Good bits of your job?
Being on block release to college is a good way to learn because you get to work with the tools for three months straight. Accommodation is free at the college if you live far away, and they also pay your travel, which is good. Working outdoors in the summer is a good point - although it's not so good out there in the winter!
Social aspects of your job?
You are able to meet lots of people and travel the country with different jobs.
Why did you choose your career?
I chose roofing because I really wanted to work outdoors. I wanted a physical job and one where I am able to use my head as well as my hands.
