What do you do day-to-day?
I will go and survey the roof, take measurements and go back to the office to work out how much material, timber, skips, etc. are needed. Once the project is underway, I visit the site and sort out any problems they may be having.

What are the good bits about your job?
I enjoy going out to price a job and then winning the contract! It's great to organise the labour, materials and skips and then to go back and see the end results. I also like meeting clients and surveyors.

What does the future hold?
I want to complete my NVQ Level 3. I then want to concentrate on building up a larger client base and bring more business into the company.

Why did you choose this career?
I was working in the city and didn't like it. My family has a roofing business which I discovered was just right for me.
